My time in the hospital recovering

My surgeon, my nurses, if you can’t tell they were so much fun. My OT whom I was able to embarrass with my very important questions. My PT.

Dr. Bryce Laing and his surgical team are the ones that saved my life by performing my double lung transplant. I am beyond thankful for the great work they did. I have difficulty expressing my feelings for what this has given us as a family. To show his fantastic character, he came in the day after surgery to tell me I was his 1000 transplant to which I replied, “do you realize you have saved over 990 lives and families.” He seemed to just state that it is his job a humbler and kinder person with the love of human life I have not met. Thank you are indeed, forever a part of my CF family. Love from me, Stacey my wife and my son Luke

Feeling all good again.

Devon is feeling all good again and wants out of the hospital. We have a nice view of a weed garden. It is called the healing garden. He is starting to think he won’t make the record because tomorrow is a long weekend so he won’t be able to get out since there are so many things that we have to be taught and get access to before being let out.

CF issues as normal

So I would state this is like riding a roller coaster. One day high, the next a little hiccup that we do what is expected to jump over. Yes, you all know Devon he takes his challenges head on. Devon has had a blockage yesterday in the bowls that we are still working through. Making sure all the pipes work before sending us home is always a good thing. You know Devon he will do great.
